Design Successful and Effective Student Leadership Programs by Applying High-Impact Practices and Using Active and Collaborative Learning

Leadership cannot be learned in the abstract world. For leadership knowledge to be relevant, it must be applied. This webinar will discuss how to take a student leadership program from passive to active. It will also discuss ways to draw upon high-impact practices to improve student learning inside and outside of the classroom.

This session with expert Dr. Adam Peck, will help you design successful and effective student leadership programs by applying high-impact practices and using active and collaborative learning.

Using relevant examples from real programs, Dr. Peck will help you:

  • Identify areas for improvement;
  • Tie examples into specific classroom experiences;
  • Outline methods to teach students the value of service to others;
  • Use reflective practices to understand what is being learned; and
  • Find ways to capture evidence of that learning for the purpose of assessment.

You will leave with focused ideas and strategies for integrating active student leadership practices into your programs.
